When Mr. Jaffer approached us to design and execute the interiors of his 3BHK apartment in TC One, Calicut, we envisioned a home that balanced contemporary sophistication with everyday practicality. Every space was carefully curated, from bespoke furniture to intelligent storage solutions, ensuring a seamless blend of style and comfort.
A Grand Welcome – Foyer & Entrance
The entrance sets the tone for the home, featuring a custom-made shoe rack with seating, finished in pristine white acrylic for a clean, modern look. The adjacent wooden louver paneling adds warmth and depth, while a natural veneer-finished wall panel with a handcrafted brass nameplate enhances the apartment’s identity. The main door, thoughtfully designed with a mini ventilation panel in antique gold PVD-coated stainless steel, ensures privacy while allowing fresh air to circulate—a thoughtful addition considering the presence of children in the home.
Living & Dining – An Inviting Social Hub
A well-designed living and dining area is the heart of any home. Here, we crafted a custom TV unit in a rich wooden finish, integrating LED profile lighting for a modern touch. The ceiling design features magnetic profile lighting, allowing adjustable positioning as per mood and requirement. To create a more spacious dining experience, we reimagined the layout by repurposing the common wash area and extending the dining space. A wash counter with an arched backlit mirror adds elegance, creating a visually striking yet highly functional element.
The Kitchen – Minimalist Functionality with a Luxurious Touch
A well-organized kitchen can elevate the cooking experience, and for Mr. Jaffer’s home, we introduced a sleek modular kitchen with high-end Italian acrylic laminate (Senosan) on birch plywood, ensuring durability with a premium finish. The soft-close tandem drawers and branded cutlery organizers provide ample storage, while LED profile lighting beneath the wall cabinets enhances visibility and ambiance. A brown-tinted glass partition framed in slim-profile black powder-coated aluminum offers the flexibility of an open or enclosed kitchen, maintaining a seamless flow between the kitchen and dining area.
Bedrooms – Personalized Comfort & Timeless Design
Master Bedroom – A Statement in Sophistication
The master bedroom embodies contemporary elegance with a custom wardrobe in a striking three-tone palette—light cream acrylic, mustard yellow, and dark brown—crafted on birch plywood. The king-size bed, upholstered with a plush fabric headboard, offers both luxury and functionality, featuring a lift-up storage mechanism. A brown-tinted mirror accent behind the headboard adds depth and character to the space.
Guest Bedroom – A Colonial Touch with Modern Sensibility
For the guest bedroom, we introduced wainscot paneling, lending a classic colonial aesthetic. The wardrobe, featuring fluted glass panels within a PU spray-finished wooden frame, adds subtle texture while maintaining a sophisticated look. The fabric-finished bed completes the design, ensuring both style and comfort.
Kids’ Bedroom – Playful Yet Practical
Understanding the evolving needs of children, we designed a fun yet functional bunk bed in their favorite colors, complemented by a dedicated study area. A unique feature is the marker-board wardrobe finish, allowing kids to sketch and express their creativity freely. Inside, a fabric-textured laminate finish adds an element of surprise and warmth.
Bathrooms – Practicality Meets Style
The client only needed Storage and organization solution for their bathrooms. So, we incorporated custom wall-mounted cabinets and under-basin storage in WPC material, ensuring longevity in humid conditions. A dry and wet area partition, crafted with toughened glass and stainless steel fittings, enhances both functionality and aesthetics.
